CardExchange Card Design, Database & Printing Software

CardExchange is in use worldwide providing a powerful yet cost effective

solution which allows government agencies, universities, corporations, as well

as small businesses to issue high-quality secure credentials.

In practice, it frequently happens that companies use several card layouts that

do not need to be redesigned very often. Consequently, users of card-printing

programs, rather than a designer-oriented interface, need a simple accessible

window where they can quickly select a card layout, find the correct employee

or student, take a photograph and print their identity card. In many cases, in-line

electronic personalization must be done as well. Besides functionality for

loading cards, defining fast database connections with powerful filters,

performing simple card management, printing directly to Windows printers, etc,

it is now also possible to create an internal view or query. CardExchange also includes its own card-layout designer.

CardExchange Small Business Server Edition Card Design, Database & Printing Software

CardExchange SBS is the network printing edition of the standard

CardExchange software package.

In a lot of situations, users are not keen on having a local licensing system as

tied to an individual PC as it is different users who may wish to use the

application, not specific PCs. Of course for these occasions CardExchange®

can be combined with a hardware dongle but for east of use, a licence server

editions is far simpler to manage.

With the Small Business Editions from CardExchange® you can centralize your

licenses. That means that you install the CardExchange® license manager on a

central location in your organization, like a shared Server that can be reached

by all computers that will contain the CardExchange® application.

All card designs and database definitions are also held centrally to simplify administration of the system. This means that

if a card layout changes, the administrator makes the change on just 1 client and all others are automatically updated too.

The License Manager manages the licenses available. For example, you can install CardExchange® on any computer in

your organization, which means that the application can be a part of your re-image policy. You have installed a SBS

version with 10 client licenses. Everytime you start up CardExchange®, it will request a license from the license manager

so you can have 10 CardExchange® clients running at the same time. When you start up computer number 11, the

License Manager will inform the user that there are no licenses available anymore. When one of the CardExchange®

clients closes the application, another computer can startup CardExchange® and work with the application.

The CardExchange® Small Business Edition is based on a package containing 5 clients and the license manager. Every

package can be easilly extended with extra Client packages which contains 5 extra Clients. For large organizations we

also offer the Enterprise Edition. This edition contains 100 Clients and will cover most of the need inside your

organization.
